Characteristics of Rubber Wheels

Time:May 19,2022

  (1) When rubber products are formed, the cohesion of the elastomer cannot be eliminated after high-pressure suppression. The shrinkage of the elastomer is very unstable when separating the rubber product from the mold (the shrinkage of rubber wheels varies depending on the type of rubber). The elastomer needs some time to gradually stabilize. Therefore, when designing rubber wheels, both the formulation and the mold should be carefully calculated for fit. Otherwise, the product dimensions will be unstable, leading to poor product quality.

  (2) Rubber wheels are thermosetting elastomers, while plastics are thermosetting cold-setting elastomers. The temperature range for rubber molding and vulcanization varies greatly depending on the main type of vulcanizate and can even be affected by climate changes and indoor temperature and humidity. Therefore, the production conditions for rubber wheels need to be adjusted at any time. Otherwise, the quality of the products may vary.
