What are the common types of braking methods for casters?
Time:Jul 15,2022
The brakes of casters can generally be divided into three types based on their functions: wheel brakes, directional brakes, and dual brakes.
a. Wheel brakes: This is easy to understand, as they are devices installed on the wheel axle or wheel surface, operated by hand or foot. The operation is simply to step down, which prevents the wheel from rotating but allows it to steer.
b. Directional brakes: Directional brakes are used in swivel casters to convert them into fixed casters, maintaining the same direction.
c. Dual brakes can lock the movement of the wheel and also fix the rotation of the wave disc.
